Joni Mitchell Tribute

Cambria Center for the Arts, 1350 Main Street , Cambria, CA 93428

Songwriters at Play will celebrate the 79th birthday of folk-rock icon Joni Mitchell, with a tribute concert on Sunday Nov. 6 at the Cambria Center for the Arts Theatre.

The cast includes Kiki Ebsen, keyboardist and singer, who has performed with the likes of Boz Scaggs, Michael McDonald, Al Jarreau, Chicago, and Christopher Cross. She also formed the "Joni Mitchell Project," a collection of top Los Angeles players who regularly play full concerts of Joni songs. Kiki is the daughter of Hollywood icon Buddy Ebsen (Jed Clampett of The Beverly Hillbillies), and created a multi-media one-woman show, “To Dad with Love” https://kikiebsen.com/

Also coming up from SoCal to join our celebration is Sandii Castleberry. Her shows in the Palm Springs area regularly include Joni covers, as well as blues, jazz standards, and folk. One of her current collaborators is violinist Bobby Furgo, formerly of Leonard Cohen's band. https://sandiicastleberry.com/

Sing along with Circle Game, Woodstock, Big Yellow Taxi, Urge for Going, All I Want, and many more. The Songwriters at Play performers are singer-songwriters too, but on this show they will all be selecting songs from Joni's wide discography.

The Nov. 6 lineup also includes: SF based duo Hither, East Bay's Zoe FitzGerald Carter, Norway native Ann-Marita, Central Coast band The Taproots, L.A.'s Katie Ferrara and Brenda Carsey, and local fave Gary Garrett.
