Kiki Ebsen's graceful performance was packed with an emotional punch that knocked us out of our seats. The subject matter focusing on "father" is profound to us and we were engrossed with her story that was exquisitely directed. Kiki's smooth velvety voice, topped with historic and meaningful imagery on the screen and backed by her remarkably brilliant trio was a delight for the senses.”

An all encompassing vocal jazz show that features songs and stories from, “To Dad with Love: A Tribute to Buddy Ebsen,”  but without multi-media. It also features standards from the Great American Songbook, straight ahead jazz favorites and crafty re-harmonizations of popular songs. As progeny of an original star of vaudeville and the Golden Age of Hollywood, Kiki is the “real deal.” With excellent jazz singing and improvisational chops, Kiki is also a charming storyteller and is  the essence of elegance as she sings and tells stories about life her famous father, with actor Buddy Ebsen. Buddy was perhaps best known for his television roles in the 1960s and 1970s. His fans, however, may not know as much about the first 30 years of his career, as a dancer on Broadway, and in early films. Were it not for fate, American children would have had 75 years to enjoy him in the role of the Scarecrow in “The Wizard of Oz.” It was the role of a lifetime, but it was also the one that got away. Kiki tells these stories and more in an evening of elegant jazz standards and poignant, humorous tales from growing up in a Hollywood family. Perfect for cabaret rooms and concert halls.
